i am not much help, I am just getting charlie ready..he is 4 mnths old..you
cannot show a dog till he is 6 mnths of age.
I am taking charlie to handling classes ..but they are short with him..about 20 mins is all we do right now..don't want him to dread showing so we make it fun...its going slow..
started him at 3 mnths..we go only once a week, but will be increasing the time soon.
I have a martindale collar i use for training.. have a few nice leads for when he gets bigger.
There is a book out called "raising a champion... a beginners guide to showing dogs" I read parts of mine..not all of it.
