I know BW is coach of the Ter.
Post above talks about BM coaching Senators and Terriers captain going to Senators.
That is why I asked who BM is. |

RT played with kids on the Sens in Novice at PC Gold, also coached by BM there. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:07 PM |
So why did he not go with Sens last year?
Why is he leaving Terriers? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:12 PM |
Wasn't AAA last season,has improved since |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:17 PM |
RT was AAA last season. Don't kid yourself.
There are many many kids playing AAA that were not as good as he was at the start of last season. |

Senators situation too much up in the air. |

why is Senators situation up in the air?!? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:38 PM |
Senators new coach new players hard to know how it will work out. Other top teams most established for next season. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:42 PM |
i thought Terriers Captain was already committed to Sens?? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:43 PM |
There is no commitment until after all the tryouts. Talk now means nothing. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 12:49 PM |
yeah but i believe he has verbally committed |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 5 2007, 1:11 PM |
OH Yeah, and teams / coaches give verbal commitments and as soon as someone better comes along at the tryouts they go back on their word. So it works both ways. |

I heard they picked up a couple of players from the
Tigers........ |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97 TerriersNo score for this post | March 6 2007, 12:23 AM |
amazing, minor hockey and parents that is...this team like two other teams who finished high in the regular season, ie: Toros and Rangers. Life is/was good as long as teams are winning and they all fall to pieces if they lose, assuming you listen to the sh*t on here and the scuttlebutt in the rinks. Welcome Terriers- wait until you start hearing all the crap that VR and Toros have gone thru. Next week it will be the Royals and then The Braves, assuming Braves win the series....a good coach who offers a committment will keep his word, after all that's all they got at the end of the day, and bad news and broken promises spread faster than wildfire...
people, woory about your own kid and not where so and so's kid is going, if the coach is good and the team/parents and all the pieces are a good fit, why change for the unknown, at the thought or prospect of going AAA-whoopdedoo.... or staying in AA, to a team of lower calibre, that one always surpises me????
do what makes sense for your kid...relax it's supposed to be fun |

RT was nothing special, didn't stand out compared to other kids. |

In the games I saw RT was the best Terrier on the ice. He worked harder than any kid on the team every shift. |

Considering the 'A' division is weaker with several teams moving to AA, are the 97A Terriers strong enough to win the OMHA championship this year?
And who will they be playing?

Nope Cooksville will stop them. |

Not if they lost any players since Novice team. Cooksville can only dream of being this good. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97TerriersNo score for this post | August 27 2007, 9:37 PM |
Same team since novice....minus the weaker players. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97TerriersNo score for this post | August 27 2007, 9:39 PM |
Nobody from Orillia went to AAA off that Silver Stick team. I wasn't referring to Cooksville novice 97s they simply weren't that good. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97TerriersNo score for this post | August 27 2007, 10:30 PM |
That was a question did nobody from that Orillia team go AAA. Certainly their captain #9 in novice on de was more than capable. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97TerriersNo score for this post | August 27 2007, 11:22 PM |
#9 JA did go AAA. I know 2 other kids did also. they are trying to get other players aswell. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 97TerriersNo score for this post | August 27 2007, 11:37 PM |
Can't imagine they are as strong as they were in 06 without these three, although I thought they had a much deeper team than us at the time and a well balanced squad. Would love to play Orillia at Silver Stick Regional finals for the third straight year, 97s in 06 (3-2 OT loss), 98s in 07(9-4 win) and hopefully again this year for the rubber match. |
