some of us are a minority in hockey and the teams our kids play on dont give a crap what we suggest or think so its perfect to come here and shout our opinions because they treat us as faceless anyway

I like the idea of usernames so that at least you could see if a user was appearing in many different threads. We know that someone could have more then one user name but then who would go to all the trouble of moving between user names to post more then once?

You are right but it will not have the same lively banter. Kids should always be spared but there are some coaches out there who deserve everything they get. I had one of them and at this point in time they are no longer coaching. By the way his removal had nothing to do with this site. Dont give me the volunteer argument either. Some of these guys are only in it for themselves or their kids. If they commit no fouls they will not be talked about.

IP's are a good compromise. If you need to register, people won't do it, but with IP's, atleast you can see see when people are answering their own questions.

I am 4:19 and not only am I faceless at the arena nobody seems to care about minorities on here, I know the best hockey instructers along with the best shooting instructers and my kids coach never listens when I say, all the kids are nice to my kid so I dont say this about them, the coaches think because I am not born in Canada I dont count, well they will see when my kid gets the instructions and in a few years they will come to me and ask how come I did not tell them about it.

ha 4:39 because you know me and you know I am telling the truth, maybe just our coaches treat minorities like this and if my son made new friends and played with them 2008 and 2009 the coach may very well listen to me.

Rules are broken by naming names ( identify intended target ). Making reference to coaches on certain teams and the numbers of certain players, clearly identify the intended target and therefore they may as well put the names down !

THATS FUNNY YOU SAY THAT BECAUSE WE HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON. The first day I saw my name on here I did not sleep or go to work the next day, I was devestatingly disturbed and they even went on for 3 days about my team, I ended up consulting a Lawyer but he told me the information they posted was public information from other sites ..like my home number and so on and he found it rather funny, it was that time I looked at it in a different way and I feel I have become a more humble person since then, So cheers pal welcome to the circle.

This site has become an intergral part of Women's hockey in Ontario. Since they started couting viewers in April 2004, it has had almost 7.5 million page views as of today.
It's informative, civilized and often fun. Kodos to it's owner, Diceman, for giving the women's hockey community such a valuable tool.

Insist on everyone getting a numerical identity and signing on. User name 13956, for example. The site will remain anonomous, so people will feel free to post opinions without worrying that their kid will pay a political price but people will be able to tell if some person is answering themselves to stir the pot, and can simply ignore that, instead of getting drawn into it.

This site has put conditions on before and traffic dropped off 75%, every 6 months we get a big lame push like this to identify people. forget it, this site is for bashers if you don't want to bash go away

It's got to be anonymous to get the truth out there.
Unfortunate but with the very real fear of retribution it has to be that way.
Most coaches in the game have a very difficult time handling criticism and go off the handle should anyone dare to question them.

You are full of it. What truth? Coaches in every sport everywhere from little kids to pros are vilified when they dont win. Is it necessary to come on here not just to say they are bad coaches, which I think is OK to a point, but why do most of the losers on here have to make it personal? If you dont like they guy you have two options. Quit or go elsewhere but the grass isnt always greener on the other side.

I would create a registration confirmation by phone and IP requests of users for only registered users, all IP requests would be recorded by account and IP.

Anybody can spoof their IP address anytime thru a proxy server. this has been stated many times on here. Only idiots continue to bring up this subject.
