1) Offer your ranking of the 98 AA Mississauga teams?
2) Any Mississauga teams missing skaters or goalies?
3) Do Mississauga teams dress 17 players or less?

Braves
North Stars
Jets
Terriers
Tigers
Hornets
you could flip the Terriers and Tigers but who really knows. The early bird will give us a better idea but then again some teams have been going all out(braves no doubt) all summer and some teams did very little so we may need to wait until around Christmas to really see.
The Braves are an interesting team. The core comes from Applewood Novice Red but they had 3 dominant players who carried the team and I don't care what anyone says but you cannot replace those 3, so it will be interesting to see how they do. No doubt they will be strong but will they be dominant?
Goaltending is still a question mark? Do they still have only one goalie and where did the one they have come from? Anyone?

I don't think the Terriers will be as strong as the tigers - wouldn't be surprised if they were the weakest of the Mississauga teams.

Based on what has been posted, I don't see why you think the Terriers will be better than the Tigers. Core of Tigers appears to be stronger.
Who knows with Hornets...a lot of white players, some of which may have been of red calibre.

Can someone give a breakdown of the Mississauga colours?
From what I understand it goes from more developed to less:
Red,White,Blue, Green.
Would Red be like tier 1 in select, White tier 2, etc.??

There is someone out there who has it in for the Tigers. I am not a Tigers parent but lighten up buddy. That person must have been at Erindale and something happened that has caused he or she alot of grief. Get some counseling or have a stiff drink or two. Remember these are 9 year old kids and would you want people trashing your kid? Get over whatever happened!

I would agree, I am familiar with most of these teams.
Out of the 6 teams I would say Braves have the most consistency since they have most of their core from the previous year. Other then that they are pretty small and have the single goalie. Should be in top 4 (finished in 3rd last year)
Jets are a mostly red/some white mix. First year coach with some good bench support. Has some fast forwards, short 1 d, of the 4 d one is quite small. Should be in top 8 (did not make playoffs last year)
North Stars have good size up front, but d looks very average, not very mobile. Will have trouble containing teams with quick forwards. (did not make playoffs last year)
Tigers are a mostly red/some white mix. Has a decent combination of speed and size. Should be in top 8. (finished in 5th last year)
Terriers mostly red/some white mix. 6 players from last place red team and some issues on the bench. Will be interesting, should be in top 10 (finished in 4th last year)
Hornets have never attracted enough high calibre players during a season to be considered a contender. Tied for last place last year.
There's my 2 cents for the day.

True, but it has a bearing when parents and kids are determining where to go prior to tryouts. Would probably explain why Terriers and Tigers had 35-40 kids at their tryouts. Since we haven't seen any of them play I would suspect based on who is on these teams that Braves will be top out of the 6. The rest are a toss up with the Hornets at the end of the line.

Boys boys, lets be nice. Like it was said before, the games begin shortly, at that point we will have a good idea where everyone fits. Kids have grown, others haven't, hockey schools, etc, etc. A summer of growth for the kids at this age is huge. It all comes out in the wash. Don't have a stroke. It's hockey, it's all good.

It will be an interesting season. I think the Braves will, or should, enjoy immediate success out of the gate given that they have a large group of core players that played together last year under the same coach (won their division)and it sounds like they played all summer. The rest of the teams will probably take a month or two to hit their stride.
I don't see a huge talent difference between the terriers, tigers, and hornets, although I'd rank the tigers as being the most talented of those three teams. Even so, I don't see the tigers beating the terriers or hornets by a wide margin. Don't know a lot about the Jets or NS, but after reading the posts, I don't see how they could have a lot more talent than the Tigers. All this should mean a lot of good games for the kids in Mississauga
And none of the teams are a disgrace to AA....

Saw the Braves at the Aces tourney, Friday night. They looked good but Leaside was not very good so it is hard to tell. Still only one goalie. 6-2 final.
Jets lost to the Knights. They looked very slow. 3-1 final.
