After looking at the rankings, the greener that said "who has Goldmember played, just Green", look again. Who has the stronger strength of schedule? Cleetus, higher the number, means more difficult.

I think some of the insecure parents care about the rankings more than the kids and so they put too much stock on these rankings thinking that their kid will be the next Crosby!

7:16 The Green boys were just copying the actions of the Gold players at Medway a few weeks earlier. The golds were watching Green Waterloo game after they finished beating the Hamilton team & were cheering for the Waterloo squad. If our boys were cheering for Kitchener it is because the are in second trying to catch the Gold team. Do not comment on 12 year old boys & say poor display. If you do, look at your own kids first.

8:13 Your a jackass! What an idiotic statement. First the Green did not play the bulldogs they played the Hamilton Reps. Yes the boys won 11-0 & when the score was 7-0 the defense played up & the forwards played on defence. We beat the Reps 11-0 the same score you beat them by just a couple of weeks earlier. Your the one exhibiting the lack of class 8:13.

There is a nice little rivarly between Green and Gold. Let it be for what it is. Most of these boys hang together off the ice, the Green boys cheering for Kitchener is nothing more than being in a competitive sport. Again, some parents make mountains out of molehills.

Everyone, relax and enjoy the boys hockey while you can!

This is the problem when you have two teams competing against one another in the same League. Some of these boys hang with one another on the opposing team and I find it hard to believe they wouldn't be cheering their friends on whether they are on the opposing team or not.

As for the comment on putting the "Best 5 on in the last minute"? That was obvious in the Game vs. Kitchener that the Gold team doesn't put out key players in critical game situations. They were in my opinion lucky to come out with the win. The coaching bench really needs to give their heads a shake if they want to remain on top.

11:51,

The season is still young. Goldmember is about team unity and developing his players on and off the ice. If Goldmember can win the game by rolling, more power to him. Not to mention, the top notch officiating they had to overcome.

Not to take anything away from the 95 AAA team but they were playing a AA team (the best Tier II team in the States) in the final. BTW Gold and Green, that team, Kensington Valley, lost to the Rochester Rattlers that will be in the Hickman.

You were right the first time, not to take anything away from this team that played 7 awesome games of hockey, includeing 3 on Sunday to hoist the trophy. The best out of 25 teams. Anybody who tries to put a negative spin on this is a bitter sour grape sucking loser. Furthermore, if you want to dis 12 year old kids on this site or in the back corner of a rink you are a pathetic coward. I would like you to step up and critisise my kid or any other player on this team to my face or any other parents face.... I did't think so, coward.Outstanding hockey this weekend boys you all were a pleasure to watch. Well done Coaches by far the best coaching staff I have ever had the privilage to be a witness to.

you will always be the hero of the 95AAA parents - were you elected as their rep or just brought it upon yourself ???

PS - DR won't be coaching the 95's next year - so you can lay off the praise...

Great point..

The first rule of this or any thread is to never, ever use your name. To do so only invites criticism, sarcasm, name calling and verbal abuse. The spelling and grammatical errors are not as important given the IQ of most posters to this thread, but signing one's name is just asking for trouble.

Second, one should never trumpet one's victory too much. Clearly, the AAAs have come a long way. The 95 players and coaches deserve a great deal of praise for their efforts. However, there are far too many AAA has-beens and wannabes on this thread to warrant such action. Just be happy with the win and move on.

Finally, never, ever praise the coach publicly. This may result in them wanting to continue to do these thankless jobs. Better to limit your boot-licking to buying them a beer at the next break between tournament games like the rest of us do.

Having beat this subject to death, I suggest we return to our traditional menu of AA coach-bashing, green v. gold chest-beating and other irrelevant hockey discussions. Once again, congratulations to the AAAs.

And now back to your regularly scheduled program...
