Is there a new policy in place where assistant coaches and managers cannot be named until after the tryouts ? Anyone think this will make any differance ? Will coaching mentors have any say in this ?

We have enough kids in Whitby to have two A teams in every division and still field additional competitive AE teams. Yet the argument remains consistent from those individuals who control the rep portfolio, we have enough teams. Let’s stack the AGM with parents who want to make progressive change, not with "old boys" and their network, who remain dinosaurs and don't even have kids playing rep. How dare someone decide what's best for my son!
If you don't have a kid playing, keep your opinion to yourself! Here's your Rep. selection committee. We don't need DH (wanna be coach), MP(wanna be rep.), RR(wanna beer), LC(wanna wing), JP (wanna be king-maker), RS (wanna be AAA)

10:11 The new people havent had a chance. Why dont you apply or are you too busy pimping your kid from AE to A or maybe your going out shopping with your girlfriends .

Time to entertain yourself boys, and lonely moms. Though I do agree living vicariously through a net character has it's advantages. We can dream of one day sporting Parasuco denim, and shopping at Rousseau's Fine Furniture & Interior Design. If you happen to see the dream there with his girlfriend, please feel too stare at her breasts, I'm sure her husband is be proud of the investment he made. One day the dream will thank him as well!

Just want to be helpful here. Over exposure can be a bad thing. I understand that you feel some resentment and that perhaps your son also feels resentful (I understand - I've been cut before as have my sons). In my opinion, you should just let his play speak.
Where I come from saying nothing and doing more is best. Deeds speak. The WMHA coaches made a mistake in your opinion. Their deed is speaking. You've stated that Ty is an A goalie and the top AE goalie. Cool. Let him show it and let the coach that cut him eat some crow.
Nothing is better than having a coach who cut you call you back and say that he made a mistake. Or better yet, the Coach avoids eye contact with you at the Canadian Tire (or Starbucks or whatever) when you run into him there. Trust me. The less said the better.
Just trying to help. We don't need another head case (potentially your boy) in town. Lord knows, his dad already is one.

You better pray to god Oshawa doesn't beat Whitby, that would seriously make you guys look so stupid. I wouldn't even say a word after, thats the kind of person i am and always have been.
I never back down from a good fight, Thats why we are moving to Oshawa.
I cant believe some people actually accepted it and sent their kid to house league.

1108 here. Trust me on the coach crow/avoiding eye contact thing.
A man who is a man will not avoid your eye contact. He will come up to you and your son and wish you well and he will live by his decision.
Weiners (like this coach... http://www.whitbysoccer.com/competitive/RayBalateam.html)will spend all his time bad mouthing kids who he cut. He will also avoid parents in public. Its a shame that he is this way and that people in positions of responsibility believe he is worthy of leading young people but that's the way life goes.

Please refrain from posting your drivel here. People may think I have something to do with this.
Please start another thread. Might I make a suggestion regarding the title?
"My kid got cut from AE because of my pi$$ poor attitude and now I have to congest WD's thread with cr@p that I know HE won't bother with because some poor bastid who "only wants to help" felt it necessary to post his ramblings about my kid's situation. What should I do?"

PS. Good on ya for leaving and trying your luck somewhere else. One day you, too, may live the Whitby Dream! Nobody ever said the WMHA was perfect <snicker>.

Yes yes. I'm a moron. Just don't clog up my thread, please.
Good luck to your son.

PS. Your posts on N54 are validating my inherent mistrust of yappy "woe is me" parents who will complain to anyone who has the misfortune of being cornered. Again, good luck to Ty. I am done with you.

Ty Chance...If someone says something bad about you, you do it back?? WTF?
Where did you grow up dude? Did you get your ace kicked as a kid? Man, your Mama did not raise a smart individual then. Sorry to say. Actually, probably more correctly, your Mama probably had a tough time raising a boy by herself. Sorry for your luck.
By the way, no hate here. Just gonna go back to ignoring this.

WD. I am a parent who's son played with MB's son. We all know that MB has some issues that he needs to deal, many of us wish he would just do things in private so he would save any potential humiliation for his son.
I am sure you appreciate that I do not think your condescending attitude towards non-AAA hockey is very nice, however, I do think your assessment of Mr. B (Ty Chance) is correct. I feel for TB.
As you say, good luck to TB.

MB, I do not wish to know anything about your personal matters. Our kids played hockey together. C'est tout. Did you know the dads had a term for you?? "Klingon". Sound familiar. Just let it die and let your kid enjoy his time in Oshawa.

While I'm here, I may as well respond to some older things....
"WD where r u ?????????????????????????????????????????"
A little busy with lax and work.
"maybe his kid got cut?"
Nope. Still playing in the show.
"he bought a donkey farm"
Good one.

I have no idea what Parasuco denim is but I do know what prosecco is and its awesome! I do not shop for furniture. That's ghey. I let my big-t!tted wife take care of that.
While I will never admit to cutting another man's lawn, let's say that the picture you paint is not out of the realm of possibility (except for that Rousseau's thingy thing....).

Ghpst you say "Ok, you spend four years investing, then have nothing to say; No problem"
What are you investing in exactly? It's hockey not your sons education. And by the way he's in AE, let it go man. At that level it is only about the fun. Stop making your kid look bad, he will resent you eventually.

w0w...I'm not from Whitby but I couldn't resist reading.
Why pollute WDs thread? Dream, I will stare at your girl friends big'uns.
Ghost...man you gotta chill. Go take a course on anger management. It will do your life some good. BTW, did you ever think, that your kid was cut for anything other than talent? His talent maybe not the issue, but YOU. The coach cut YOU.
