Relax - this is exactly why the parents of this team get a bad rep.

No - the parents of this team get a bad rap 'cause they have zero class.

Kind of ridiculous reading their posts about 10 year olds "choking" in the playoffs. They are 10 - the pressure these idiot parents put on them is ridiculous. We played them in one tournament this year and I was totally amazed at the crap spewing out the parents mouths (most of them moms!). Those kids are probably relieved not to have to listen to it anymore.

No - the funny part is that all their posts are of them bashing each other. Every team they play against are disgusted by the vocals in the crowd. Yet they think they have class. What???
I will say this though - it really is just a few bad apples. Some of those parents are in it for their kids. As always, it's the loud mouths in the stands that give them a bad name. Luckily their year ended VERY early so we don't have to hear it anymore.

It's that one crazy women who is always yapping, that's why her son can't make AAA, they know she's brutal and he gets cut...

My sons team played them in a tournie this year. I think I know exactly which yapper you are talking about. I"m surprised there haven't been any complaints about her if she's known for it.

Everyone knows it's not the team that's bashing each other but those pathetic losers in the adjoining town. They call us classless, what a joke ! You should concentrate on teaching your kids how to play CLEAN hockey , then maybe they'll succeed.

I think the 'adjoining town' comment was directed at Whitby because we kicked them out of the OMHA playoffs after alot of trash talking from them. But I could be wrong - could be about Pickering too. It's hard to say as it seems they have problems with every team they play.

Okay - name calling aside for a moment.
As parents, what we do and say in the stands reflects on our team and on our children. Whether or not you feel like you are being unfairly attacked, it does seem to be a recurring theme that there are one or two 'yappers' for lack of a better word that reflect badly on the team as a whole. If you are one of those people, is it not time to take a step back and maybe tone it down a bit? Before you start calling me names - I'm not looking for a fight here or even a response. Just saying let's try to set an example for the boys on the ice.

Coach is not a bad guy, has had success in the regular season but always loses when in counts...the playoffs, time for a coaching change....

its true, the proof was in every other team improved while this team declined greatly and you can't blame the kids on the result, sometimes change is good

how about the fact, that losing 5 top players to AAA and bringing up 5 new players from the levels below, will make an impact on any team. Its common sense that the team will not be the same. This is not about the coach. Coach is a very good coach and does a great job in team development.

Developed enough to send 5 Ajax kids to AAA....not a bad record for a good coach!!!! I guess he does a great job in player development...

Sometimes you can't get blood out of a stone. Rigtly or wrongly this coach stood by each of his players and in the most cases played all of the boys equally. Limited talent leads to limited results.

It's a domino effect. Would these kids have made this team if not for the others that left , of course not. But then it's the same on every team - aaa , a , ae . Many of these kids are playing at a level that they're not ready for. It's up to the coaching staff to teach them what they need to know.

excuses, excuses.....heimlich maneuver should be taught to all involved on this team for the choking and I think SA was riding the coat tails of BB and GE over the years....

Please bring your head out of your as_ ,it must be terrible in there. SA brings terrific qualities as a coach Vs BB and GE. Some kids respond to his qualities Vs the other two, some do not.

if by qualities you mean sitting the stronger players in lieu of the weaker ones , not disiplining the puck hogs , and kicking garbage cans in the dressing room , then yeah I guess your right.

it's ridiculous to blame the result on the 5 kids that changed, team lost a good goalie but goaltending was very good, lost 2 D but the team never lost due to D at all and 2 kids that were first time to the team last year and were good players but nothing irreplaceable up front. Problem was the system, no emphasis on team play period.

Fire the coach!!!
Don't renew the kids' contracts!

Lose some more games and try and get a top draft pick!!

I read all this and the thing that really bugs me is the comments about "limited talents" and things related directly at the kids, this group didn't finish as expected because of leadership and how to play the game and nothing else. They worked hard with what they were presented with and I'd challenge anyone in the "Ajax" loop to say otherwise, don't point the finger at the kids and say they just weren't good enough because thats crap.

Hey, don't take it the wrong way. Every parent sees more the POTENTIAL ability of their kids (and other kids on the team) than their ACTUAL ability. We see our kids play one great game, or see them compete with older kids or AAA kids at other times (shinny, school hockey, etc.) and we assume that this is the level they should be playing at all the time. This inflates out expectations. Sometimes recognizing that kids "were just not good enough" is a reasonable assessment.

That is not a reasonable assessment at all , actually it's a pretty crappy thing to say. While some might have more skills than others , all of these kids have the potential to be great AA players. If not then why did they make the team ? The kids that have moved up to aaa over the past 2 years weren't much better at one point , they just had an excellent coach . (GE)
Each of these kids has a talent and a good coach would utilize that.

saying these kids were just not good enough is a cop out . they weren't coached properly bottomline.

what has the coach said the reason were? What is he going to do to improve the team next year?

The Ajax system to date does not have a great 'pool" of talent so the coaches work with what they have. In order for someone like GE to have an affect on a player he would have to coach him year after year to get results. Repeat Repeat Repeat that's what works here.
If the "peanut gallery, side line coaches " would let the coach do his thing and support him, results would be much better. Along with that if SA would allow his ass't coach BB to have a BIGGER part in running the team aga
