We have 5-7 spots open and we want players who can help us build a 500 team. |

Do yourself a favour and leave your kid in A. Why put him on one of these bottom feeders and lose 90% of the games? |

I heard most of the existing team was leaving. Can a restocked team compete? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 98 AA NSNo score for this post | March 21 2008, 10:38 PM |
they don't have to compete next year, they need to develop and gel as a team and then they will compete. |

So what's the story here? Who's coming? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 98 AA NSNo score for this post | March 26 2008, 9:02 PM |
This is basically a new team. Only 1 or 2 players from this year's team is returning. How are they going to be competitive? This year's team missed the playoffs so people think that they will.................here's goes the big word.........Develop Players and magically make the playoffs. Which team that made the playoffs this year will they replace? All those teams have a core and will add players.
According to many, the hottest commodity at the 98 age group are goalies? Do they even have one?
Good luck to whomever goes to this team but don't expect to be a playoff team next year or the next year for that matter.
This will be a bottom feeding team that will be lucky to get out of the cellar. |

If he was that bad why would half of the team go with him? I think the NS were probably one of the most improved teams during the second half of the season. Slow start killed them. |

Isn't CF the one that keeps moving to a new team each year? |

So do a lot of other coaches. what's your point? Are you the same guy who's kid was cut by CF and have been bitching about him on numerous other threads. Why not just move on and get over it! |

Response to Re: 98AA North Stars
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
coaching on this team is solid and not the issue
team has just taking longer to jell then originally thought
have had a few players not perform as expected but so has every team
the core of this team is solid and if it stays together will be a force next season
if this coaching staff stays together and comes back it would be a win for the North stars and all these kids.
we have not had any parent issues and the group seems still together and being supportive
both RB & CF have been great
----------------------------------------------------------
What happened???? Why is the coaching staff leaving to go to WM? |

This team will win the Clancy.
It will be NS and YToros. Yet Toros have no depth and rely too much on 3 players; they will have a battle with ID yet NS will have no problem with Hornets (HIT HIT HIT).
Good work and good luck at West Mall |

It seems the AAA MNS were too busy recruiting for their WML team next year and forgot to play in the Clancy finals OR maybe they didn't develop as a team. |

After today's game and the season they should also consider TID's |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 98 AA NSNo score for this post | April 6 2008, 1:20 PM |
No, we should not and will not be considering the TID. Why? They were a non-playoff team like the NS.
I give them full marks for today's victory, they played very well and we did not. Congratulations!
And no, nobody on the NS is considering ec or te but thanks for asking. |

Just be careful who you invite out for skates. last week My son was at a skate where it was invite only and one parent was telling others about a new AA team and exchanging numbers with current parents and the parents of kids invited out. If the coach knew this he would not of invited that kid out for the skate. the skate is for people interested in the coach and team having the skate. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 98 AA NSNo score for this post | April 10 2008, 6:20 PM |
To 5:54 You are absolutely correct, you do not want people doing anything under handed like recruiting for another team especially when you are holding an illegal("under handed") skate.
It doesn't matter because this team will be lucky to finish higher than 14th. The coaches can sell you the "We are building a contender" line or spin it any way you like but this team will be a bottom feeder.
Wait until about 12 games into the season and they start to lose their patience which has happened before.
Keep dreaming wanabee AA parents. This is basically a new team with 1 or 2 returnees. |
