The rumours so far....., Hillcrest may fold, Penguins are done like dinner (Stuie "H" has left the building, according to a report in the Toronto Star), Ted Reeve is forming some sort of unholy alliance with TCB.
Any other news, rumours or innuendo?

Nice work by HS management and coach to take a 3rd place team and create a situation where no one wants to be there.

Hard to believe there is truth to these rumours. Hillcrest is only looking for 3D. What gives? How many has actually signed?

New coach dropped the ball on this one, he was given a 3rd place team and absolutely screwed it up, too bad.

Have the players rec'd their reg'd letters?

Yes they have received the letters but no one has signed. Waiting final word on team's status. Drop dead date I hear is the 15th? Then they scatter.

Heard only a handful of kids signed. All the better remaining players want out.

What a disaster. Kids who signed will scamble to find spots elsewhere once they pull the plug - which is the only thing left to do at this point.

There are lots of spots available out there. TCB could be good this year if all the Hillcrest players fill the roster. Some teams are full but we all know there are coaches who won't hesitate to cut a player if something better comes along.

Most AA coaches won't cut a kid once he signs, it is not appropriate to the level. AAA is a different story. The top teams are set except EE who is hoping for HS players, NT is full, Aces full, NYK full. GP coach cut kids last year, LF not sure, Willow needs kids, aeros always looking, SYB not sure, TCB is still bad did they not consolidate with TRT? TCB is expensive relative to other AA programs. LF is probably looking but they have a Eurotrip planned, Natasha? MI probably needs a kid or two.

The coach stepped down and his kid went to AAA. It was handled well and the org had plenty of notice, the A coach was given the team and he did not communicate with AA familes and everyone bolted.

10 0r so? wasn't he bringing 5 kids up and a few wanted to some so 10-12 is reasonable but you need 17 kids 16 min or 15 to be legal.

This is where it gets interesting:

From the 6 that remained with Org 3 signed.

+ 1 New Manger
+ 1 New Goalie

It is unclear to me who else has commited from the guys he was bringing up but for argument sake lets say all 5

Leaving the team with 10. If anyone else can add further insights .... great

Regarding this alleged TCB and TR "amalgamation," who is going to coach the team? And which organization gets the kids' fees? The whole thing seems kind of unlikely unless one org has already decided to fold their minor midget team.

It's good for the holdouts who are trying to go to other teams. It's bad, very bad for the handful of kids who signed an HS card. We're sold a bill of goods by an arrogant coach who had few commitments from either returning or noew players.

How could TP have a team? They only had a handful of kids at tryouts and they don't have a posting on the GTHL Players Wanted list.

As for HS, the 3 D wanted assumes that the holdouts will come back. I've heard this won't happen.

Whitby won't get out of their division! Same as the last couple of years. Kingston will again be strong with amalgamation and Ajax has at least 5 kids from last years AAA.

Top 3 Lakeshore (The rest will battle)

Kingston
Ajax
Whitby

Kingston will not be as strong as last year. They will be losing at least 5 players from their AA team from last year going to AAA. Whitby is always a good team and will be right at the top. Ajax had 5 AAA players come down and the team is playing in a 3 0n 3 Midget league this summer. The 93 Ajax AA team is playing against Whitby's,Claringtons and Oshawas 91,92 AA teams and are dominating the league.
In the Lakeshore I would say Ajax,Whitby Kingston,Oshawa, clarington,Peterboroug and Pickering.

Pickering lost a few big scoring players to AAA

Time will tell
