2:44, you should re-read 2:32. I think it was intended to be a bit sarcastic.

It was excellent...alot of kids played for in the ronnie and montreal meltdown. The 98 division and the 96 division was amazing. The Ohio team was a combo of little ceasars/belle tire and compu.

actually no my boy played in the 98 group and all teams except USA were very strong. C7P (ludwicks team was the winner of the OTTF or players from Comcast) Oh well you must have missed the tournament..i agree refs were brutal. Bill H was an amazing coach and so was Andy R. ...kids meeting leclare and kappanen was pretty excited too.

Actually the tournament was a great experience and the hockey was great. AAA not sure....everytime I see a AAA tournament someone else writes in and said it wasn't. I do know that the kids had a great time and the NHL coaches were amazing. Spend a minute with Randy B. or Bill H. and you will find out just what hockey is about. Thanks, to the One hockey group for putting on such a great tournament.

I think certain teams were (winter AAA quality) still better then the AA Montreal Meltdown division. Which is AAA winter quality....you are right the refs did have some issues.

The teams in my son's division would totally beat any team in any AAA loop right now within the same age division.

OK went to the website....let me guess 97 Halton Heat?

Didint even close to losing a game. Most of the games were stopped at 10-0 after a period and a half (mercy rule)

I did see the Halton heat..amazing group of kids. They would have given the 96 teams a good run for their money. They were in a league of their own.

What the deal with the kid on the Flyin Hawaiins team MD? Heard he plays for St. Catherines 96 team and is considered the best 97 in Ontario. Heard this from several people but until the tourney never heard of the kid. What is the real story?

The Halton Heat team that went to Philly was only together for that one tournament. It was not even close. had they played together in other big spring tournaments I am sure they would have done very very well.

I had never seen MD play either but watched the 1997 semi final game and MD had no one to work with. Still was nice to watch some of the plays he tried to create. Double shifted and still gave his best every shift. Makes a big differnce when you play on a complete line. But give Halton credit as they had 3 balanced lines and it was nice to watch them play.

MD played for us in an game in the tournament as an alternate player and we tied the game 3-3. MD had all our 3 goals. It was a pleasure to have him play with my son. Hope he continues to do well.
