Any team looking for players has less than 15. |

What level, AA or AAA?
AAA has the Rebels and Majors while AA has 11 teams and A has 12 teams looking.
At a minimum of one player per team are there 25 players out there not signed or still looking and at least half of those should be AAA or AA calibre? |

Teams will fold. especially at AA aand A.
AAA has a history of at least one team folding and two others thea should have.

Has this ever happened?
A Team wishing to receive special relief from Rule 6.1(a), owing to exceptional circumstances, may, by application made on its behalf by its Club, apply to the League for such relief. Such application must be made in writing on or before December 1. Special relief will not be provided to any team that has registered twelve or fewer Legitimate Players. |

So according to the rule if your between 13 and 15 skaters you have to apply for special releif. If less thatn 13 do not even bother. Fold up your tent and go hunting for another team.
I hope clubs that are in this situation do not try to drag it out leaving kids in limbo and they might not even know it. |

If you can bring your $5000 cheque to the Marlies, you can have the last spot. |

If that is true. I would not want to be that kid. He is going to sit a lot.
There is no kid just hanging out there with the ability to fit into that lineup.
In fact there are no kids of quality sitting around to fit into any AAA lineup.
I guess some 2000 could have a crack at it. |

Is there any way to move up from a AA team? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 1999 AA/AAA Players WantedNo score for this post | July 9 2008, 11:22 AM |
Not without a release. Does not happen very often. Coaches are not very open to losing a good player.
Plus why would you want to go and just sit on the bench. |

this post is too funny, your VK and TM egos think you are the only AAA team in the loop, you will be sadly mistaken when the year starts.

July 9 2008, 10:58 AM - I disagree.
If my son/daughter was not signed to a team, this would be a great opportunity for his/her development. These teams will be practicing and playing 5-6 hours a week with very competent coaches and/or professional trainers. They will be practicing skills that would not be possible on lower level teams. He/she would not only be challenged by the pace, but encouraged too keep up. I am sure that his/her skills would be vastly improved over the season. As for game time, there will be plenty of opportunity to play against the bottom half of the loop; not to mention in the coming years.
With the cost of group training running at a minimum of $25/hour, $3000-$3500 with practices, games and tournaments is a real bargain:
30 weeks @ avg. 6 hours a week = 180 hours
$3500 / 180 = $19.44
The equipment and swag is an added bonus!
I think that this would a great opportunity to move into aa/aaa!

Development is one thing, but be prepared to loose 95% of your games. Is this the case or do the parents just want the extra A on their jackets ? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: 1999 AA/AAA Players WantedNo score for this post | July 10 2008, 11:11 AM |
no way the marlies and rebels are going to loose 95% of their games |
