Keeprites are the Cadillac's of the residential market. Lennox,Carrier,York etc....you pay for the names. Most components to the A/C's and the furnaces (excluding electronics) can be found in each brand. 14 seer are most efficient but cost more.
Shop around. Lots of good deals out their. Go hi efficiency w/furnace and instantaneous hot water heaters. Natural gas prices are going up significantly.
Good luck! |

Caddy of market...not...amana=goodman,low end .York,Trane,Carrier, yes Keepright's furnace is ok ,their ac's are better. Installation most critical, you can't just plug them in like a toaster ! |

Amazing, I'm considering getting a new furnance and an AC and I find this on a hockey thread.
Anyone have any estimates that they received from contractors on what a high efficiency furnace (> 90%) and an AC (with greater than 15 SEER) costs?
Anyone do a payback analysis on a tankless water heater? I was checking out a Bosch unit, with 6.5 gpm, which costs around $1500. I'm guessing the payback will be around 5 years? |

For HVAC, get Bryant. They are the parent and engineering arm of Carrier. You get Carrier quality but at a lower price. |

Amana is lower end. Trane near the top. Carrier #2
Get the analysis on your home (costs about $400 incl. gst. so you can get govt. rebates from both feds and McGoofy. |
