So..how is the team shaping up this year? Who's on the team and what team did they come from? Can they live up to the "Marlies" reputation?

Good luck marlies. Parents a little word of advise. This is an organization that has made it's reputation on winning. Winning is the all and the end all for this organization. If your son is excelling now then he will do just fine. However, beware - for as your child grows his skills might slow - whether temporarily or simply not excel as fast as others. If this organization is not winning they will have no second thought about cutting your child. This organization must win. Development for your child is second. If you want your child at this age to live with this then it is your perogative. If you place a greater emphasize on development for your child at least at this age then perhaps the logo on the front of this sweater does not shine as much as you think. All i can say is be very careful. There is no point in hoping your coach will be different with your child. It is simply the moto by which this club runs. Win at all costs.

Rebs will be better then the Marlies in the end. Don't have a kid on either team but know them both well. Rebs have way better development program in place. The Marlies are all about the manager, the coaches and there own kids.
The end of the season will prove I'm right and if I'm wrong I'll be back to say so!!

Look whos calling the kettle black. Read either of the two brick threads if you want to hear about selfserving parents. These are the type of parents that the Rebels will have to contend with. Maybe before you start pointing fingers you should have your own house in order first.

What did you not understand about not being involved with the team.
Then again by the sounds of what you wrote your head is so far up your backside I can see how you can't understand much. Sounds like you have afew issues with the Rebs. I on the other hand have no issue with either, just a general observation and like I said if I'm wrong in the end I'll admit so!!

He's a 98 in the omha. Know a lot about the players on both as I've scouted many of them. Rebs a much faster team and much better Goalie. Not saying the Marlies are not talented, just saying in the long run I think the Rebs will prove to be a better team. Just an opinion, relax and learn to take some critisism.

I want some of this action. I will put down $1000.00 that Marlies will be ahead of the Rebels. I don't know what people see about the rebels but JH won't be on the bench. Team will be lucky to be .500. Best goal scorer came from AA last year. Marlies will eat up the Rebels.

Actually the score was 2-0 with one being an empty netter. Yes it was a Rebel that scored the winning goal. So what! Who cares! The team that wins the league can brag all summer. Until then just go out and play.

Unfair shot at RM. Every parent coach is there to help their own kid in some respect, sure, but most if not all take pride in coaching and developing every kid on the team. RM does just that and he has a pretty good track record for developing winning teams and keeping kids AND parents happy. The Marlie pressure cooker will be a new test but he can handle it. And his kid has the skills to excel. Time will tell...put knife away.

Give me a break on the Rebels. The kids that helped them do well in the spring are back in the ETA. The rest are ok but be happy if that team trends water all year instead of expecting too much...low expectations may help a decent group develop.

CS and RM follow Marlies program play to win seem like good guys no knives here. Their kids are good but big worry with some of us f team parents is preferred ice time for their kids. jury is still out on this one. last year we hear CS shortened bench quite a bit and caused turnover of half team. rm has history at lp of playing his kid too much. jury still out here but we will be watching close and if so KABOOOM.

Is CS a dr*nk or on c*ke? A j*rkoo supreme in most eyes but his own. G* look at yourself in mirror and push yourself to greater heights instead of playing 8's & 11's to win. Get a life and then you might have something to say. RM a good guy and doing something with his life and has good team perspective on kids hockey but his wife well every team needs a queen b*tch i guess. Can RM withstand Marlie BS, CS BS and wife BS? Play all f kids fairly and you will be fine. This is truth whole truth and nothing but the truth and all LP parents know it.
