Rheumatoid Arthritis: Natural Remedies?January 6 2007 at 6:33 PM | S.J. (no login) |
| Unfortunately I've been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Does anyone have any suggestions for natural methods of controlling the condition, or if not any natural methods of pain management which could also help? |

One at a time, eliminate the following categories of food for two months: (1) all sugar except natural fruits; (2) all citrus fruits; (3) wheat, corn and soy. At the end of each trial period, restore the eliminated items to your diet. You may find that one or more has an influence on your arthritis symptoms.
For symptomatic treatment use aspirin and other over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs. You can also take feverfew for its anti-inflammatory effect; other good anti-inflammatory herbs are ginger and turmeric. |

I've been on prescription medication for my RA for several months and it's helped tremendously. Now that I've studied more about herbs with this whole NBE process and believe in their effectiveness I may check into herbal remedies for it as well. Mine was just so debilitating and I've gotten such good results that I'm happy with what I'm on, although RA meds can be a dangerous thing without a doubt. |
