I have a few of these and will give a special price to anyone on MWR who is a participant or reader - if interested contact me directly. These watches are no longer made - see info below. This style has the perimeter minute markers, no customs to pay and shipping is of course domestic - unless you are from outside the US - that's OK too.
Is this a Luminor Panerai NO but it sure does look like one! This is a Kienzle Atlantis Mecanique This is a HUGE watch all in Stainless Steel IT IS NEW IN THE BOX !!!!!!!!!! Kienzle is a German watch company that had this Swiss-made watch made; they have been in the business of making watches for 175 years !!!!!!. This is a HEAVY watch if you do not like a Rol*x Sub or an IWC Fleiger or Dopple then you will not like this hunk of a watch you need a BIG wrist and strong arms to carry this one around and I am not joking. It CANNOT be missed when you wear it on your wrist EVEN FROM ACROSS THE ROOM !!!!!!!! This watch with a stainless steel screw back case MEASURES: 43 mm across Not inlcuding the crown! and the length is 43 mm the lug-to-lug distance is 52 mm. Swiss made for Kienzle in limited numbers exclusively for the Italian market obviously since it looks like a PANERAI ------ Here is a chance to experience the Panerai look on your wrist for a fraction of the cost of the Vendome Group Panerai sold today for $3000.00 - the plastic protective crystal guard is in place as the day it left the factory. The Dial is STUNNING with the second hand at 9:00 and the reason for that is the movement inside which is the guts of this ENORMOUS WRISTWATCH: the Unitas 17 jewel manual mechanical movement is in the caliber 6497 (this movment WAS used by Panerai in some of its editions!!!! See the Panerai website for the 1992/3 version in which they list it as the ETA 6497 movement, they are one and the same!. A friend of mine who had 3 of these said: Treat it right and it will last two lifetimes. and he is right. This movement is a pocket watch movement of 16 lignes with a power reserve of 60 hours ( SIXTY ) It is rated as water resistant to 5 ATM ( =165 feet ). This watch comes in its original box and has a large original heavy duty leather strap. The buckle is signed Kienzle. It comes with the original "hang tag" and warranty card for collectors ! This watch is GUARANTEEED to be as described. See a review on this watch here:
