TOP IMAGE IS PRESENT APPEARANCE OF THE WATCH
Well I didn't get too much interest on the regular forum with this offer, so I will try the traditional way for a trade...I have a "generic" chronograph with the infamous ValJeux 7750 movement that is running perfectly. The case is from the 80's, maybe a bit older, and is in prime shape...The dial is a swap out from the rather illegible silver and black original "LeJour" to another black military one that makes viewing a snap....I have added some of my own work to the hands, sign vinyl, for the present look...this material I use for the hands as well as the indices and little logo is pressure sensitive vinyl and can be easily peeled off ( if you want to go back to the original boring ones!!!) Look at the before and after views..This watch is running to an accuracy of about 5 sec/day which is where the majority of these 7750's run...
What I am hoping to do is find someone out there with a Hamilton watch like I had seen on a WW II movie the other night about commando raids in Yugoslavia (Force 10 from Navvarone), but it appears that watch may have not even been real !!! ...I am searching for a comparable appearing Mil. Watch with the broadarrow, black dial and sub-seconds at 6, at least 37mm dia., and in decent running condition as a SWAP for the ValJeux...I can't even put a value to the watch except to say a normally priced USED movement sells for about $200, so I would hope this is in the range of $225-$250 for trade...
I do have a burning desire for something of this nature to be added to my collection, and I would imagine, and still hope, there is another collector out there who would rise to the challenge and get another watch for their collection as would I ...!!!
