Hi,

I have a reference letter of my last company which i left on 2003 and the signed date of that reference letter is on Decemer, 2003. That company has been closed on 2005. Will my old reference letter signed on 2003 be ok for me? Do i need any colleague's reference in addition to that reference letter?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Babu

Hi Babu,
I think that will not be enough as you will also require details like whether employment was full time or part time, was this permanent position or contract based, which technology you worked etc on reference letter. So try to get as many documents as possible. I think you should submit your reference letter + other reference u can collect + Statuary Declaration mentioning that why you can't submit your complete reference letter (with all details required of job nature etc).
Hope that will help

Cheers,

Lalit

Dear Lalit,

Thank you for your reply. The reference letter i have is a complete reference letter with all the details you mentioned. But that letter was signed and i collected when i left the company on 2003. Is that ok?

That should be fine then. Normally we get reference letter while leaving company (So you got when u left company). It will be also good
to collect references from your past colleagues as that will support your case.

Best of luck mate.

Lalit
