Ricoh has finally decided to sell its digitals in the U.S. - both the GRD and the R4 will be available at some vendors, like popflash.com - and with U.S. warranties.
The GRD looks like an excellent camera if you like wide-angle only (has a 28mm lens and there is a 21mm wide(er)-angle conversion lens available as well as an optical viewfinder attachment; it's a pretty expensive proposition, though. It wouldn't work for me as an "only" walkaround cam - I also like telephoto too much.
