What's nice about it:
* 28mm wide, nice
* 28-160mm range, nice
* Lens retracts completely into body, so only 26mm thick. (I wonder how fragile that will be )
* Super 1cm macro.
* Manual focus
What's bad:
* Movies are only 320x240.
* Only one aperture? Can't tell from the specs? F3.3 isn't that fast either.
* only 153K pixels on screen, some 2.5" screens have 200K.
* no manual controls, but I guess few compact cameras have them. (That's why I have a Casio right now).
