Aidan got Cranium Cadoo for his birthday and we've played that together a few times. It's a pretty short game when you've got an adult on each team, since the quests are geared towards 8 years and up.
Aidan also got Monopoly, but we haven't tried it yet. It's always such a time investment. I see there's a short version in the instructions, but I've never played that way. Anyone try it?
Eamonn's birthday is in 2 weeks and I'd like to get him a game we can all play, but I'm not sure what. He'll be 4. We already have Candy Land (oh, gag me), Sorry, Chutes & Ladders (actually I hid this one a while ago because I can't stand it, and I don't think the kids realize we have it

), Uno, and a few others. I prefer games that involve a little bit of thought and are not left
entirely to chance. I'm actually pretty bugged by games where my fate is left completely to the way the cards are shuffled. Once exception has been I Spy Bingo. I can play that with Eamonn for an hour and not get bored. Weird.
Anyway, what is
your family playing these days?
