I just realized that musically, I may be stuck in 1992...

I was on a local radio station's website today entering my 5 top albums of all time (something I had never actually thought about before) and I realized they are ALL from the early 90's. Here's my list:

Indigo Girls "Rites of Passage" (1992)
Crowded House "Woodface" (1992, I think also)
Toad the Wet Sprocket "Fear" (1991, I think, but I first heard it in 1992, LOL!)
Jeff Lynne "Armchair Theater" (not sure of the year on this, but I listened to it in 1993 when Neil and I were first dating)
October Project's self-titled debut (1994 or 1995, maybe?)

Since filling out the form on that website this morning I've thought of a bunch of other albums that would make my top 10 or 20, and I'd have to say the vast majority of them are early 90's. I guess it's pretty clear that the music that most profoundly shaped my taste is what I was exposed to in college or just after. There'd have to be some Shawn Colvin, some 10,000 Maniacs and some REM on that list for sure. Maybe The Roche's first album, too.

Anybody else have a Top 5 list they want to share?

It's hard to narrow things down to 5 but I'll try:

Sarah McLachlan, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy

REM, Out of Time

Patty Griffin, 1,000 Kisses

Joni Mitchell, Blue

Kate Bush, Hounds of Love

There are so many others I'd put in a top 10 or 20 also! And I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple I'd put in the top 5, lol!

Susan, mom to Ben (6) and Emelia (3)
