My first foray into digital scrapbooking

I'm making a calendar to give as a Christmas gift this year, and I thought I'd try something fancy for the pages. I've done the first 6 months of the year so far:

I used free kits I found at http://www.shabbyprincess.com for the first five, and the last one used elements from a free kit from http://www.twopeasinabucket.com

Now, this this the kind of scrapbooking I could see myself maybe getting into. I'm really uninterested in the kind that uses paper

The rest of them (almost)

And I haven't done December yet because I haven't decided if I want to use a picture from last year (in which case it will be 2 years old when the December page comes up on the calendar next year) or have the boys pose for a picture now so that it's more chronologically accurate with the rest of the calendar. I like the second option, but I really want to use pictures I already have so I can finish the project now, upload the images to cafepress and get my calendars made!

Thanks for looking!

So, are you using a digital scrapbooking program? *m

Or just photoshop? Those all turned out great!

Paint Shop Pro, actually

I'd like to learn how to do some more interesting tricks, like a torn paper effect, for one. I think I'll just have to spend some time wandering around the internet looking for tutorials and plug-ins sometime when I have a chance.

I'm not sure how expensive they are though. I have Paint Shop Pro but I've never tried to do anything creative with it. Glad you had fun
