Getting excited for the clay-a-thon...

Mid-January I'll be heading to Atlantic City for 3 days of nonstop polymer clay. I did it last year and it was great! Neil had to initially convince me that I would survive being separated from the family for that long, but I'm really glad that he talked me into going. Now I wouldn't miss it

Any of you ever take any creative getaways? What are they like?

I'm going away next weekend for a crop *m

I got 23 pages done last year so I'm excited. It's very low key, at a summer camp, you sleep in cabins with a few other women. But it's really fun. I'm looking forward to it.

I hope you have lots of fun too! I'm loving your bracelet, btw. Everytime someone comments on it I tell them to go to your webpage

That sounds a lot like what we do.

Only we are in a hotel. Outside Atlantic City in January you can get pretty cheap rooms So, we stay in a Days Inn, everybody pays for their own room (some people double-up, but I prefer to get my own so that I can have a little time to myself, which I rarely get at home!) and then we all chip in for the "common room" that we work in. That only amounts to an extra $20 or so. It's really an inexpensive getaway with plenty of payoff.

I'm still trying to decide what I want to work on. I have a project in mind that I need to get done by March, but I don't know if that's how I want to spend my getaway or not.

When your crop is over, you should come back here and post a few pictures to show us what you did!

Oh, and I'm glad you're enjoying your bracelet. I'm thinking of making more of them in that color scheme, because I really liked yours when I was making it!

Lots of fun. I didn't get quite as much done as last year but I had a good time. Here is my scrapbook.com gallery:

Oh, nice!

I like your layouts, especially the Ben one with the spaceships and the one with circles/buttons. Those are "my" colors

My weekend was nice - I posted about it in another thread here. Soon I hope to scan & post some pictures.
