A new loom knitting book that might be fun.

I still want to make myself a scarf, but I keep getting distracted by other stuff. One of these days...

I'm new to knitting,

January 23 2007, 7:57 AM

and I haven't done it on a loom, just the regular needles. I'm currently making a chain-link scarf with circular needles. It's turned out pretty well for my first project, and I only have a few more links to make.

I spent some time at Michaels yesterday looking at yarn, but I didn't see a whole lot I liked. There is a locally owned yarn shop here that has GREAT yarn (at a GREAT price!) and lots of cool books with ideas of things to make. Since I am a beginner, I'm afraid to take on something too complex. My next project is a scarf for my dd (age 6) made out of that fuzzy/feathery type yarn. I's like to try something made with yarn that can be felted....I like the look of it.
