Even More Fun With Dye - Skirt #2

This second skirt started as a white linen number from Target:


I dyed it a darker olive than the first skirt:


I replaced the wooden beads with polymer clay beads of my own making and ironed on beaded flower embellishments:


This is how it looks on me:


And just for fun... did you know it can also be worn as a halter dress on a 4-year-old boy? (this was taken before I added the flowers):


I'm hanging onto those pictures for his high school yearbook

I'm really pleased with the way this one came out - I'm tempted to go to Target and get another couple of these skirts so I can embellish them differently - I could see myself wearing them all summer!

I love the way this one came out. (No offense, but I think only a parent can really love kids' art, so I'll take the 5th on the other one!)

I think the only good excuse to display kid art on your clothes is a personal connection to the kid who created it. And getting non-parents to want to look at your kid's drawings is like getting non-animal-lovers to want to listen to stories of your pet's antics
