If you make a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer
Foundation, please mention "lacrosse" in a note with
the donation. At my request, in memory of my wife
Brenda, the CBCF will then direct the funds to a
facility seeking a "cure", rather than a "control".

From the CLA

It has been brought to our attention that players are starting to contact teams looking for the possibility of try-outs outside the jurisdiction they were last registered with. As you are aware, teams are not allowed to communicate with players without first receiving written permission from the teams who currently hold the "rights" to the player. Can you please circulate the following to your teams and players and post on your respective fan forums or websites:

To Players:

Under the new CLA Transfer Policy, Teams are not permitted to communicate with players without first receiving permission from the team who you were last registered with or who has placed you on their negotiation list. If you wish to solicit try-outs from other teams, please ensure to get written permission from your previous team or the team who has placed you on their negotiation list.

To Teams:

If a player contacts you soliciting a try-out, please inform them they must first provide proof of written permission from the team holding their playing rights before you can speak with them or get the written permission from the team holding the rights to the player yourself. By following this procedure, you should avoid the of a charge of tampering under the new CLA Transfer Policy.
