The Owen Sound van Dolder Home Team Woodsmen of the Ontario Senior Lacrosse League have acquired netminder Steve Dietrich from the Ajax-Pickering Rock.
The Woodsmen sent Jamie Plunkett & future considerations to the Rock to acquire, or re-acquire, Dietrich, who played goal for Owen Sound previously this decade.
Owen Sound & Ajax-Pickering played in the Ontario Championship series in 2007 with the Woodsmen winning the series.
Both teams advanced to the Presidents Cup in Owen Sound, where Ajax-Pickering won the Silver medal while Owen Sound took the bronze.
The 2008 Senior Lacrosse schedule was supposed to be released over the weekend, but poor weather cancelled the scheduling meeting which will now be conducted over the phone according to Woodsmen General Manager Mark Berner.
