specifically, in the game in question. its not that the woodies were used, its how and when they were used. there were no woodies on the floor until after the brawl, and owen sound went up 9-2, the sticks came out in the second period when it seemed every shot that OS took, went in. then the woodies came out and all the chopping and hacking started.

thats when it seems they always come out. noone really has a problem with a guy using a woody the whole game, or hell, even only on the PK. its just when they are brought out for a specific reason.

now im sure someone will pipe up and tell me how the guys use them all the time and how it just happened to be a coincidence and what not but anyone who was in that rink and saw it unfold ( the incident in the 2nd where the guy two handed a woodsmen for about 15 straight seconds) knows that thats garbage.
