The AAPBA Weight Pull and Championship System was designed and perfected to bring out the best in every dog competing in the AAPBA Weight Pull Event. It takes 500 points to earn the first level of Championship. And 500 points thereafter to continue earning a new level of Championship.
All competitions and weight pull systems are decided by the host club.

All competitors (AAPBA and AAPBA2) start off in the Weight Pull Rookie class. Hosting club will decide minimum start weight.
Titles.
The following titles are awarded to dogs that evolve through each pulling phase in weight pulling.
1. Weight Pull Certified Champion (WPCC). 500pts.
2. Weight Pull Elite Champion (WPEC). 1000pts.
3. Weight Pull Master Champion (WPMC). 1500pts.
4. Weight Pull Ultimate Champion (WPUC). 2000pts.
5. Weight Pull Superior Champion (WPSC). 2500pts.
6. Weight Pull Premier Champion (WPPC). 3000pts.
