Response to Oooh, what is the Morman history book?

It's called "One Nation Under God's." If you live in SLC, you may want to only read it in the privacy of your own home, and not in a public place for fear of being verbally assulted!

It's a big book and about 1/3 of it is bibliographical reference! This guy has done his homework. I am not anti-Mormon by any stretch...I have relatives who are Mormon and they are wonderful people!! I've just always heard about their church from their point of view and I wanted another one. I wouldn't say it's anti-Mormon (yet anyway...I'm not finished), it just gives a point of view from an outsider, as well as someone who is a former Mormon.

It tells the story of Joseph Smith and how he started his church and why. He used to be a Free Mason, and a lot of his doctrine comes from that background and perspective. The LDS church is different than most other Christian religions I have read about. Some Christian demoninations do not even consider Mormons to be Christain due to some of their beliefs.
