Weird bird

Last week a robin was flying into my kitchen window, repeatedly. I found that a bit odd, but even weirded is that he's still knocking into my windows! He seems to have developed a preference for the basement window. He sits on a tree branch right outside the window and then periodically flies over and taps the glass. The shade is pulled, so it's not like he thinks there's a room to get into or something... it's just so strange!

Bird brain, indeed!

Weird Bird...

Hi Lisa! The likely reason the robin is tapping at the window is that it sees its reflection, and since its "that" time of year (birdy luv is in the air), he probably thinks his reflection is competition for his lady friend. Not the brightest bird in the bunch, but dedicated to his wife!

And is kind of sweet in a "dumb bird" kinda way

Perhaps - do you have clay stuck under your fingernails and ground into the carpet, too?

My dining room (aka my "studio" ) rug has seen better days. And the table top... No amount of Pledge and elbow grease is going to bring that sucker back to life!
