I will be putting my 83 GTI up for sale in a couple of weeks. I am putting on some new tires before I sell it. The car has a fresh paint job (Diamond Silver basecoat clearcoat) with about 10 miles on the paint. The car has many new parts sachs clutch, a-arm bushings, radiator, alternator, muffler (stock)etc...., New euro bumpers, Oil pressure guage in place of the clock by the shifter. The car is in great shape. The only thing it will need is a new hatch seal. Has a leak when it rains. the seals are $30 from Rocky Mountain Motor works.
