Ok I'm Looking for a Manual/Standard 20-Valve Turbo Engine. I don't know if they come in a V6 but if you have a V6, I'll gladly buy, but a V4 is good enough if that's all they come in. Please Email Me At st0rmcr0w@aol.com....the O's are zero's in that.
Mattman, what I am looking for is a 1.8 Liter 20-Valve Turbo. These are found in the recent year Audi's, Jetta's, Golf's, ect, until the newest models which have the VR6's. There is such thing a V4 too.
OK then. the 20v or better known as the "1.8T" can be found in the recent year VW's and Audi's with that option. They are 5 valves per cylinder. They had come in 150hp moddels stock but the new ones coming out are going to be 180hp from the factory. I have been told you can get all the stuff you need for the conversion for around $6500. I bet you can find it for less than that somewhere. I have also been told thet if you use one from an audi you need to get a transverse intake rather than use the audi one.

Okay the 1.8T engine (aka 20valve Turbo) is a 4 cylinder engine with 5 valves per cylinder. From 99 until the present in VW's it produces 150hp with a t3 turbo. In the Audi's it varies from the A4's producing 150hp to the TT producing 180hp and 225 hp (180hp has a different ecu and the 225 hp has an upgraded k04 turbo and an upgraded ecu).
Now there is NOOOOOO NOOOOO NOOOO such thing as a VR4 engine. U cant make a V with 4 cylinders. Try to make a V with 4 dots......it will come out looking pretty stupid huh? Kinda like a BOX! And there are NOOOO NOOOO NOOOO VR6 1.8T's...a VR6 has 2.8L....anyways u guys kill me. Oh and the VR6 12Valve is NOT the newest vw/audi engine out. The vr6 has been out since 92 (corrado) so its EXTREMELY old. The VR6 24 valve is going to be the newest VW engine. If u are talking about the Audi A4 2.8L V6 and Passat(not VR6) 30vavle then that suceeded the Vr6.
