We open on the peaceful English countryside….when suddenly….a sound of thunder rolled over the horizon…..but this sound did not come from the dark overcast……instead coming from a horse and carriage barreling full speed towards it’s destination….
“Quickly now…we must arrive before nightfall or we’re finished!”
“!!!”
And with a snap of the whip and neigh of the horse…they race even faster…the wheels cracking as the carriage bustle and bumps along the path…..leaving a massive cloud of dust in their wake….
“THERE IT IS!! THE CASTLE!!! MAKE HASTE!!”
A mere moments later the Carriage had arrived in front of the castle gates….
“THE GATES!! OPEN THE GATES!! THERE IS PRECIOUS LITTLE TIME!! I BESEECH YOU TO OPEN THE GATES!”
Soon the gates creek open and in races the carriage as they close solidly behind it…The guards encircle the carriage....and one shouts out to it..
“What is wrong? Doest creatures of the night pursue?”
Suddenly…forcefully…the door to the carriage bursts open….and there….arms outstretched stands one man…..Ulric Astortin the third!!...
“Not at all my fine sirs….but I hath need of thine facilities…”
With that Ulric heads to the nearest outhouse with great speed….leaving the Guards to converse with his confidant…Francois…
