Gojinn gasped, as both men looked at the burning bodies of several men and women in what looked to be the town square. That was the smell he’d picked up earlier. Still, the men dragged them along, unable to fight back.
Both prisoners tried to attack each other, but the soldiers quickly separated them, throwing them to the ground as well, and stomping them to get cooperation. Once Gojinn and Red had stopped fighting back, the men lifted them up again and dragged them off. Gojinn struggled, trying to free himself of the chains. They walked through the town square, past the burning flesh, which Gojinn noticed Red staring at, almost wanting it.

Gojinn looked around, and then noticed the center of the city was a giant pyramidal building. The stairs led up halfway into the building where a black opening sat. Red and Gojinn looked around. The top of the pyramid was missing, but up there, four men with large axes stood, blood stained and ready for killing. Gojinn and Red immediately stopped, but were shoved and dragged before they could run. People began chanting from nearby, and swarming the pyramid. Gojinn and Red felt uneasy about this now, as they were dragged up the stairs, desperately trying to break the chains, but couldn’t with how weak they were. Stair after stair they were dragged up, and finally, they were thrown into the main chamber, before a throne that stretched up about twenty feet.
The tall man stood, removing himself from the throne, and raised his golden scepter, slamming the pole down in anger. He didn’t know what to do, and anger filled him, looking at the two outsiders, who were cracked in their heads, and forced to lie down on the cold golden floor.
