Gojinn and Red moved on, praying they headed the right way. Soldiers and citizens were flooding in behind them, carrying all sorts of weapons. Not wanting to particularly get into another war, they avoided the situation by fleeing as fast as possible.
We need to get the fuck out of here!
There! Go!
Both men sprinted for the giant front entrance. The giant doorway was wide open, smashed by so many people trying to escape easily. The white sandy beach lay beyond; stretching out forever it seemed like. Just beyond- the blue ocean could be seen, but no boats…and no people!
Gojinn and Red stopped when they hit the beach, and stared off around. There wasn’t a single person to be seen anywhere. Footprints led off in every direction, but not a single soul was present. Red twirled the club and looked around, wondering what was happening. Gojinn walked a few steps further out and threw the club, grasping a golden handled sword, beautiful in design. A small red ruby glistened on it, and attracted him. The blade was lengthy and shimmered bright in the sun. He yanked it from the sand and swung it around, laughing. He turned to Red, and Red looked at him. What little happiness they had they escaped the city walls faded, when they heard the battle cries.
They ran for the doors, and slammed against them, one on each. Using all of their energy, they shoved and shoved, and managed to close them a good distance, far enough that the soldiers would take a good time to open it.
Both men stared at each other now, not sure what to do.
Where the fuck is a boat?!
I think the better fucking question, is “Where the fuck are the people!?”
All you had to do was DIE Gojinn! Then we wouldn’t be here!
Hey, fuck you!
SLAMMMM!!!!!
Both men suddenly dropped their quarrel, realizing the army about to bust down the walls of Atlantis. They sprinted for their entry point on the beach. It was completely clear and devoid of life… where the hell was everyone?!
They ran and ran, not saying a word to each other as they did. Still they saw nothing. Gojinn, winded, slowed down and came to a halt. Red stopped and turned. He seemed furious.
Let’s get the fuck out of here!!!
Go where, Red?!?! There’s not a fucking soul around! There’s not a goddamn boat anywhere! Where the FUCK are we going to go?!?!
It suddenly seemed to dawn on him, that the two men would die right then and there. The island was still rumbling, and coming apart. The sand shook and gave way, cracks formed and spread apart. Parts of the city could be seen literally falling down, beneath the tops of the walls. The walls themselves cracked and spread apart, leaving an open view into Atlantis, as it slowly faded from existence. Screaming in anger, Gojinn raised the sword and collapsed to his knee, stabbing the sword through the sand, and into the earth.
Red stared off into the distance. Even he had no idea what the next move was. Gojinn sat there, and just stared into the sand, not breathing, not thinking, not moving…
SSSSSSSMMMMMMAASSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH
The city doors came crumbling down, and the soldiers flooded out in numbers. Red clutched the club tight and raised it back, waiting. Gojinn stood up and ripped the sword from the sand, turning with a look of fury. Red stepped up next to him.
Ready?
Are you?
Both men turned their attention from each other to the advancing armies and ran, charging in….
