Exam

by Everyone in the COSC.120

We were all there this morning before 8am to take the exam. The class waited until 8:30-8:45 and decided to leave. We left a note with the lady in the office across the hall from room 109 with our signatures.

I had the wrong day. (Stupid of me.) Anyway...

by Tony

Most of the class took the Final and FPE at 9:00. If you missed it, I'll be available, in my office, at your convenience. Leave a message on the forum when you can come by. I am very SORRY for your inconvenience!

lab7

by Patty

Tony, how do I get that source code off my lab7??? I'm working on fixing some things on my labs, so I can upload them all again, and I don't want that on there.

You simply have to open the affected page, highlight the code, and press the delete key.

by Tony

If you are using composer, you may not see the code when using the "Normal" editing tab (at the bottem left of the Composer window). If so click the "HTML Tags" tab to see if the source code shows up. If not, the last resort would be to click the "<HTML> Source" tag; it is difficult to find text in this display because EVERYTHING is in unformated, plain text. (Best way is to look for capital letters.) Anyway, I looked thru your tour pages and didn't see any of that source code, so maybe you have fixed it on your own. There are, still, many missing picture!!! Get those fixed!!

Exam 3

by Steve F

Did Tony place are exams in the out box? I stopped by after class on Tuesday and they weren't there yet, so I came back today (Wednesday) and they still weren't there. Does anyone know if they were placed in the folder, and if so did anyone see mine, or maybe have taken it by mistake?

Exam 3

by Tammy

Steve,
The Exams were in the Out folder after class, a little later than when I saw you there to pick them up. I went back and got mine. I did not pay attention to whether your exam was there or not, I just took mine and left.

Having problems

Tony, I'm not sure what to do, I've started a web page on yahoo geocities, and have somethings already done, but how do I get my links to work and upload a picture, and upload it for you to see? I've used the help section on this site, but it hasn't helped me out.

Still sick

by Patty

Tony, I just came back from the doctors, I'm not doing well, instead of getting better, I've gotten worse, I now have pleurisy set in my lungs, very painful, I am going to try to get as much done on this lab as I can. I'm on meds, so I'm kind of out of it right now due to the pain, forgive me if I'm late or not all done. I'll try to catch up. Thanks for understanding, Patty

Lab 10

by Tammy

Tony,
I have read through Lab 10. I do not feel comfortable with having to create two commercial Web sites. I do not like the idea of giving all of my personal information on the Web; to people all around the world. Is there any way that this Lab can be done without creating two Web sites? Can we just visit two sites and compare them?
I appreciate your help,
Tammy

You don't have to put any personal information on your Web sites.

by Tony

You don't seem to have objected to creating you Web site on Goliath - there is no difference in creating a site on a commercial Host. Both allow a Web user to access your pages. Also,I don't understand why you wouldn't want to have a "personal" Web site, but you can put anything on the site that you want. Anyway, publishing a Web site is very different than browsing Web sites, so you must create two Web sites and compare them for the Lab.

Fixing errors with Netscape 7.2 and Flash 9

by

After doing some research and reviewing information on Adobe's web site, the easiest solution to the Flash problems is upgrading to the newest version of the program. Since I have upgraded to the newest release, I have not had the same problems that were occurring with version 9 release 28. If you have any more problems, please let me know.

When is our final?

by Rachel

I was looking on the Tentative Schedule and it says the final is TBA. I was wondering if there has been anymore consideration put in to when the date will be? I'm trying to schedule a doctor's appointment around that time and need to know which days are not available.

Yes, your "Next" links work properly, but you also need a "Previous" link going

by Tony

opposite direction as well as the other links, given in the Project Specifications, that should be on every page.

I still do not understand your question...

by Tony

1C, on the project Specifications, refers to including graphics on the main page of your project, i.e. project.html. There is nothing about starting a new page.
