![]() NetMeeting attemptby Laura KnightI just tried to connect to NetMeeting and it said "the person you are called is not able to accept NetMeeting calls." from IP address 67.22.219.112 |
![]() Try again, Laura, you may have tried before I hosted the NetMeeting.by TonyI was a bit late, about 10:06. I am hosting now. Sorry. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() Nevermindby Dan PeaperNevermind about the question, I didn't realize are clone page was part one of the word document. from IP address 67.23.155.69 |
![]() Lab 1by Dan PeaperI am pretty much done labe one, but I dont see what item 1 for the sumbission of the lab is. The fist thing I see we need to put into the document is about FOLDOC. But that says that it is item 2. from IP address 67.23.155.69 |
![]() Item 1 is specified in step 12.B.1 of Lab 1's instruction, i.e....by Tony"a copy of the first page of your clone of lab01NS.htm, created in item 4", so simply include that with the rest of your submission. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() CNETby LauraWhen I go to the CNET webpage to do lab 1 section 8A the homepage comes up but has many errors on it and it doesn't show any of Today's top stories. Is this just a problem with my computer? from IP address 67.22.219.112 |
![]() I accessed CNET without problem (7:20 AM) today. Try again; if you still have problems...by Tonyit may be your computer. There is nothing special (of which I am aware) about the CNET website, so if you can access other Web sites, you should be able to browse CNET. Let me know, on this forum, what happens. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() NetMeetingby Laura KnightSorry I did not attempt to join NetMeeting yesterday or today. I caught the flu and have in bed since Saturday night. I will try to connect tomorrow during class time. from IP address 67.22.219.112 |
![]() OK, be sure to try NetMeeting, so we can be sure of your situation. EVERYONE...by Tonyshould find out what their NetMeeting situation is. I will try during the next few days to find out what common problems are. In the meantime if you want to use NetMeeting but can't from your computer, go to Pullen 109, which is still reserved from 10-11 MWF. NetMeeting works fine from there. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() NetMeeting todayby Bryan SwartzI'm logged onto NetMeeting and I see your name, but I can't chat I don't think, can you see me? from IP address 67.23.155.108 |
![]() Yes, I could see you and I sent a message, but, I guess, you couldn't see it....by TonyThat is a common problem. Where were you when you joined the NetMeeting? from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() NetMeetingby Bryan SwartzSorry about NetMeeting today, I was out of town this morning and had class tonight. from IP address 67.23.155.108 |
![]() OK, try to join today's NetMeeting between 3:30 to 4:30by TonyYou can see by yesterday's forum threads that the only place, on campus, that I am sure one can join my NetMeeting is Pullen 109. However, I am trying to find out more than "where"; I am trying to find out "why", so try to join from your room. Don't be surprised if you do not get a response from me - it has been typical that we can't chat even though, in some cases, we can "see" each other on NetMeeting. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() Off Campus LocationbyIm trying to log on from Ormand St. But I have to go, maybe we can try again on Wednesday! from IP address 67.23.155.69 |
![]() oKby TonyI can connect with a few students, but not with most. I have no idea why. I'll try to figure this out. Thanks. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() "Chat - Not in a call"by ChristopherI was able to connect to the Netmeeting server with no issue. When I click the chat icon a new window opens up(The chat window) It states that it's not in a call. The Send To field is blank as well. My Netmeeting window states that I am in fact in a call, and I can see you (TT at Home) from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
![]() Something is wrong. This happens with others. Where are you?by Tony... from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() I'm in Cambridge Hallby Christopher~NT from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
![]() Hmm, so you could not join NetMeeting via the campus network, but could via a wireless...by Tonyconnection? Very strange. Can you tell me exactly what your wireless connection was? from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() It's off another student's routerby ChristopherI use a wireless card to connect to my quadmate's 'power mac G5'. I'm not sure of any of the settings he has. Ater spring break(possibly sooner) I'll have my own router. from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
![]() Laptop is having the same isses nowby ChristopherThe laptop I spoke with you on at 11am is now having the same issues as my desktop. Looks like it errors while it's waiting for a response. from IP address 131.118.85.28 |

![]() Netmeeting cont....byI am using the link right under feedback. A window comes up asking to launch application or quit, so launch application. Then a window comes up saying 67.21.159.120 is asking to join, so hit OK. Then a window comes up right after saying that the other party did not accept your call. I did turn all firewalls off. from IP address 67.23.155.69 |

I am at an off-campus location, but you said that this shouldn't matter. Thanks from IP address 67.23.155.69 |

![]() quick questionby kitty berkhey tony! from IP address 131.118.85.26 |
![]() Re: quick questionby ChristopherAs I read it, to turn it in you printed a copy of the FIRST(and only first) page of your clone. Then you attach that to a printed word doc that has the other various answers on it. Most of the labs are paper-turn-in until we start working on our actual site. from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
![]() Exactly, Christopher. Just do precisely what it says in item 12 of the Lab instructions.by Tony... from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() netmeeting on mondaybytony; i will not be able to attend the homework assignment for monday. however, i very much wish i could say "hi" to you..and then go about my business.lol. i cannot attend because in that time block is when i have my over load class now...so ill be sitting in GUILD. but, i can connect to netmeeting before i leave for class, and thats usually around 9:30 or so. from IP address 131.118.85.26 |

![]() Untitledby SheilaI'm confused, where are we to begin????? from IP address 131.118.85.202 |
![]() Re: Untitledby Anonymousthis webpage is very confusing from IP address 131.118.85.202 |
![]() Which Web page are you talking about?by TonyI can only help you if I know exactly which page is "confusing". from IP address 67.21.159.120 |

![]() I don't understand. Begin what? A lab? The learning module? Please explain.by TonyYou begin most things on the Tentative Schedule, by clicking one of the links. It is best to begin labs by clicking the "Lab Hub" link on the Navigation Panel. If this is not what you are talking about, please explain exactly what you are "beginning". from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() okay nowby SheilaThis was the answer to my question. I think I got it now and can proceed. I will stay in touch with other questions. Thanks! from IP address 131.118.85.202 |
![]() Turning in Assignmentsby AnonymousIf we are taking the online class, are we suppose to turn our work in to your office or email it to you? from IP address 67.22.219.112 |
![]() Try to do as the assignment says, i.e. submit the first (paper) assignments directly to meby TonyYou can turn them in during class times or office hours or you can simply drop them off (and pick them up) from the folders in the plastic shelves beside my office door. If you can not come to campus then you can submit by e-mail, but I much prefer paper submissions because I can write comments and feedback on paper. From Lab 5 on, you will be publishing your assignments on your Web site, so there will be no further direct submissions. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() Another quick questionby Christopher GreenIf the assignment is due on friday such as lab1 due on 2/17. Can I drop it off in the folders on the day before? I ask this because I'm in LH205 for a class thursdays, but don't even go to the upper campus friday. from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
![]() Yes, you can place assignments in the IN folder any time...by TonyI usually collect from the folders daily, but I always take everything on Fridays. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() When are we supposed to join net meetings?byI am doing this from Baltimore County. When are we supposed to join net meetings? I am on break from one of my classes at the community college and was trying to find the hours. thanks = Mike from IP address 69.251.118.43 |
![]() NetMeetings will be open during class time and office hours; see today's general announce-by Tonyment. You aren't "supposed" to join the NetMeeting, i.e. you are not required (or expected) to do this. The NetMeetings are primarily available to give you assistance, i.e. spontaneous, real-time, interactive help like chat. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() Learning Modualby Laura Rolfe Are we supposed to turn in our answers to the learning moduals? from IP address 131.118.85.202 |
![]() No, you only have to turn in things indicated in the right column of the Schedule.by TonyBlanks, SAQs, are all "self assessment". You can check for hints and subsequently answers by clicking on links on the navigation panel. I'll demo this on Friday; if I forget, remind me. from IP address 67.21.159.120 |
![]() URGENT: TEST REWORKbyi corrected my last test. ive looked everywhere and i cant find a scantron. i dont think i ever got one. what should i do? from IP address 131.118.85.28 |
