I decided to embellish some flip-flops, and while they don't look anything like your sandals (nor were they intended to) I think they embody some of the same fun spirit

Now, of course, being the "artist" that I am, I have ideas for improving these things. I just threw them together this morning with yarn & tube beads I had laying around and secured them with a little white glue. Although "secured" is not exactly the right words, since some of the beads are already loose. What I'm thinking is that I could make special beads for this purpose, give them a little shine, and nestle them into some yarn that might match them a bit better. I think maybe I could even sell a pair here and there if I perfect my technique. I got a lot of complements at my MOMS Club meeting today.
