My hair is a little wavier/curlier than the one in the picture that I brought with me, so I expected it to be a bit different. I think I like it. I still have to play with it a bit and get used to styling it.
Thanks for all of your opinions when I posted the original picture
Not as easy as letting it air-dry and then pulling it back into a clip, which is what..

... I WAS doing, LOL! But, still not bad. I have no patience for fussy hair-do's. I towel-dry, then blow-dry for less than a minute, mess with it for a bit with my fingers, and then spritz a little hair spray in the front where it would otherwise have a tendency to go flat on me. Pretty easy.
....rocks! Why do women cut their hair short against their DH's desires? Chopping sensuous hair is so disspiriting for some men, including me. I believe in spouses supporting each other, and not pulling the ol' bait and switch. Is it really so arduous to keep it long if you guy loves flowing length? My wife has had hair past her waist for 3 years now. Wondering, Bob
I'm not sure "Bait & Switch" is a fair term, though. You're assuming we all started out with long, luxurious hair and chopped it off after we'd safely snagged a man I can't speak for everyone else, but in my own case, my hair was actually shorter than it is now when DH and I started dating:
Yes, he likes my hair long, but it's not like he didn't know I was generally a "short hair gal" when he married me. Any time I am ambivilant about my hair, I go for the longer look because I know he likes it. But if I feel strongly about wanting short hair, I always cut it.
Ultimately, you need to do what is going to make you feel good about yourself. I always take my DH's opinion into account, but if my long hair is making me feel bad in some way, then I need to get rid of it. And I think in the long run, he'd prefer to be with a wife who was happy and confident in the way she looked as opposed to one who only puts up with a particular style just to please him.
Thanks for chiming in - it's nice to have a man's opinion around here, I think.

I'm happy for you that your DH is cool with your shorter hair. Not *all* guys care a lot about it. (lol) But if wives could ever hear the comments (complaints) that I've heard from *some* men about their wives' short hair, you'd be stunned. There are a LOT of us who are ga-ga over long hair, unfortunately. And I'm very lucky that my wife accepts this about me, and caters to this ONE thing. (BTW, I have never asked her to change anything about her appearance or lifestyle, save growing her hair.) I hope she keeps it near waist or longer for life, but if not, life goes on, just a bit more sadly, for me. I'm not going anywhere! (lol!) God bless, Bob
It's really flattering to your face with the slight bang. It looks great!

I lucked-out, too. She was very good - looked at the pictures I brought, made sure she understood what I wanted, and then took her time styling it (which, I promptly went home and un-did when I showered, LOL, but I'm never happy until I add my own twist, anyway). And I only paid $28. Woo hoo!
Lisa, It's adorable! It really brightens your face and I think...

Having a bit of wave probably makes it easier to style - sounds pretty easy!
Mine lies down like a bowl capped over my head, if I don't fight it a bit - all the hair from my crown forward wants to lie toward my face. http://www.clarkesworld.com/m2km/rolleyes.gif
While all of the rest of my hair curls, my bangs always end up flat, and in my eyes. So, I either blow-dry the front of my hair while holding my head upside down, or I clip the few annoying strands up with a hair clip and get them out of my face. I've been going the "clip" route lately - I made myself a few cute barrettes that I enjoy wearing
