The issue of teams folding as kids get older isn't unique only to hockey.
Just look at Soccer as another comparison which sees as many if not more teams folding each year as the age group gets older.
there are a number of factors that contribute to this , including most of the reasons already noted in previous posts..
Shame on the one(s) that are blaming the coaches for this.
It is a much bigger issue than a 2 year card, re-org or any or fix..
it is the fact of life that kids are growing up and have other priorities and responsibilities.
It is the parents that are having trouble facing the reality of not having to be at the rink 3 times a week.. what are they to do? they are getting their life back and may be having trouble adjusting to that fact.
it the "circle of life" ... enjoy it when you can...
