Does anybody know anything about this team? Has anybody heard anything bad, besides not winning very much?

Keeping strongest players, replacing 5 or more with other A players. May need a goalie. Good coaching. Will jump a few spots.

Most teams have 3 levels of players. Those top few that may be able to play up a level. Those in the middle who are average players who contibute at their level. And the bottom players who could either deveope into the middle by season end or who may drop down a level next year.

Teams like the sharks have all their players at the top level and that is why they are doing so well but, how many other teams can claim that?

That is the truth if you want to believe it and it pertains to most teams.

except the Eagles - they don't have any one in the top level. Honestly - whay don't we just put the Eagles, Huskies, Beavers and Ice Dogs in a separate division somewhere?

Of course it was a fluke thing!! The sharks are undefeated and the Eagles - well, they're in 8th place. But the Eagles were up for the game and the Sharks went in thinking it was a slam dunk (with good reason, considering they'd beat the Eagles 10-0 in each of previousl games). But - if everything was a sure thing, there'd be no reason to play the game, eh?

The beauty of sports... and a good lesson for both the Eagles and the Sharks - Believe in yourself, work hard and things might happen! Get overconfident and underestimate your opponent (no matter how justified by the record) and you could be surprised!

You can't use Sharks as the test. They'll win the division, no doubt. This Eagles team is a lot better than last year and the kids and families are all having a good year. Not all accomplishments are measured on the scoreboard! You either understand that or you don't.

The Eagles have had a lot of fun this season and been competitive. Whoever comes in to coach will have a good core of players and families to work with. Good luck in the playoffs! Sure it'll be tough but who cares? The Sharks tied 4 times this year - once to the Eagles. Anything can happen, anyone can win - that's why we play games, eh?

A working relationship with the Eagles AA (current HV A) should have a positive impact on their recruiting, especiallly if they develop a relationship with the AA coaching staff.

12:14 A working relationship with Eagles AA (currently HV A)??
HV is a private club who would sooner work with and recruit from the HV organization than get their hands dirty at stinky old Lambton Arena with a 10th place Eagles A team. Switching to Eagle colours was a necessary evil for them to make the move to AA. They are still black and teale thru and thru!!!! Don't expect a call-up anytime soon... they'd rather play short-handed!!!

The new Eagles A head coach has coached 7 years in the GTHL - all with the Eagles. He's never missed the playoffs. The AA Eagles might all be HV people, but they're not able to move past the existing HV AA team - it's a logical move to the Eagles. These two organizations draw from the same area, a lot of the kids on both clubs know each other, as do the parents. It's a very positive relationship between HV and the Eagles. The main reason is that it's in the best interests of the kids to play at the appropriate level and the HV executive recognized that and gave releases to the coaches, which was only right, fair and sporting. Kudos all around to two clubs who know how to do the right thing!

TOP EAGLE KIDS SHOULD WALK TO A DIFFRENT ORGANIZATION. AA COACH WAS TOLD NOT TO TOUCH THOSE PLAYERS CAUSE GENERAL MANAGERS SON IS COACH OF A TEAM. AS A PARENT I WOULD REALLY BE PISSED OFF AND LEAVE THAT SAD SITUATION. AS A PLAYER YOU WORK HARD TO MOVE UP THE LADDER AND THEN YOU GET PUSHED OF BY YOUR OWN ORGANIZATION. FROM WHAT I SAW, AT LEAST 2 MAYBE 3 SINGLE A EAGLES PROVED TO WORTHY OF BEING ON THAT TEAM. YOU WILL START TO EAGLES FLYING THE COOP SHORTLY. LOL.

Talk about causing trouble where there is none. If the Eagles had been a competitive team, i could see how some kids might feel they have a shot at AA. But they didn't even make the playoffs!

Sharks were city champs, but still left some of their kids behind who weren't ready for AA. Every team has strong and weak players, including the Eagles A.
