Anything is better than what they had, I heard he's got a AA team and is taking the new guys he committed for the aeros from his skate last week with him. Sounds like he was gonna clean house there and never got the chance. Oh well, let's see what he does next. He's a good coach, knows the game and his son is pretty good. I wonder what happened. Sounds like he had this all planned. I heard he's going in as an assistant but we all know he'll run the show for he ran the skate while the coach was watching. I was there and my son had a very hard time keeping up with the guys. Glad to see he was able to move on and get outta there. 1 win all season is hard for anyone.

whoever gave the info on the aeros is offside. They have 16 players to date. all the players at tryouts were the ones trying out for the open spots. Team looks better than last year.

Most teams have already had try-outs, they were yesterday at Scarborough Ice Sports from 9:30-11:00. Did you miss them?

Until the player signs the player card, these birthday skates mean nothing. TT typically has good turnouts at these skates but he never can sign the players in the end.

Good teams at the A level don't need birthday skates.

Enough about a last-place team. Key is to find a team on it's way up. Knights and Penguins will pretty much stay intact.

Or if you're good enough, why not join a top team and make it better? With only a year or two left for this age group, why not try and play on the best teams.

Remember, the division will be stronger next season, so its going to be great hockey.

This is A hockey guys. Most of the players are going to be in the penalty box. Stick to education boys and get your parents to stop dreaming.

A gets more competitive every year now because kids from AAA and AA drop down for a shot at cities, the top teams in A and most of the AA teams were at the same caliber last year, god knows what its gunna be this year.

Also, a lot of the players who cant play the level recognize that making the worse teams fold, so it will be competitive
good luck to all the teams

Trick is to find a team on it's way up. I can only speak for the East, but Penguins were heavy favourites to wn the city's but were knocked out in the second round. Ice Raiders had high hopes at the start of the season and probably should have finished better than they did after being in the 'A' playdowns the last few years. Leaside took a long tumble from first place last year. West Hill and the Knights definitely (and obviously) performed well and are clearly going in the right direction. Islanders finished strong and were at least competitive against the Knights in the last 2 playoff games and are in the Founders finals and seem to be on their way up - but have a way to go. Hillcrest just seemed to have it in cruise control all year from start to finish - thought they would have been better with a few new players. Willowdale got better as they year went on - but since they are folding it doesn't really matter. And the Aeros....well, they were the Aeros - but did win two Clancy games, so I guess that is a step in the right direction.

Leaside and Ted Reeve are the teams to try out for

knights and penguins are already full

leaside and ted reeve are the only team keeping all of their top players and cutting their crap players. Both should be in top 4

"only team cutting their crap players" - I see. So all the other teams are going to keep their crap players because......? What a stupid statement.
