can anybody help me, i've got 4 kittens now 8 weeks old. 2 of them are not on kitten food and loving it...however, i've got 2 kittens that just won't eat it. i've tried but with no luck...surely by now they should be weaned or nearly there...any suggestions on what i can do with them. i've got homes for them but until they are eating properly i can't let them go. HELP PLEASE.

i had 3 kittens whos mum died, i weaned them using kitten meat and kitten milk that you get for bottle feeding kittens, i am in the uk and here its called cimicat, just mixed small amounts together to make a runny paste, they found it easier to lap it up and soon got the idea, don't know if it will help, they might just be late starters and will probably get there in the end, good luck

regards

sam,

I have hand raised several kittens from newborns to a bit older ones that have lost their moms before weaning and I find that if you buy baby beginner rice ceral(the stuff for humans) and mix it with a bit of warm milk that they love the stuff and soon learn to start eating other food.
