Hi there, I have a female ragdoll who was in heat week before Friday 13th February. She was mated with another (vet checked) Ragdoll and after 13/2/09 she as not walking around with her tailin the and very obviously out of heat.

She has a very big tummy now, she seems to be good health and very affectionate. I have a box ready for delivery, I have scicors, I have dental floss for cord (just in case) I have the clean cloths should she need help, I have KMR and small bottle. So think I am just about prepared

I had in mind that she would be due on or aound 17/4/09. I work part-time so have taken off 2 weeks for impending birth.

Today I looked a Purrinlot pregnancy calculator and it tells me her due date was 10/04/09!!!

I am a little confused as to when to expect the litter now and when I shouid be worry about taking her to vet, if she is overdue.

She is eating dry food and mince etc so still eating. Her tummy is huge and although my husband feltthe kittens I have not but have seen them moving around lots.

I guess I am just looking to find out more about the dates and whether I am correct or the Purrinlot Website is more accurate.

the main thing that i had ever noticed before any of mine had kittens was they lost their appitite. though snowball had kittens once without me knowing she was even pregnant! i finally was able to get them all fixed this spring though.

also, though many vets won't agree with this, dry food = junk. the only okay dry food is grain free, which rules about almost all brands. really, give your cat wet food.

i know a lot of things to read, and it is all from one site. however all the articles are very well written and includes a ton of good information about cat food. hope you take the time to search through these, your cat will very much appreciate it.
