My cat had kittens 5 days ago. She has had them in the same spot the whole time. Earlier tonight I let her outside for some fresh air and to use the restroom as usual. I went upstairs to watch the kittens while she was out. I was looking at their bedding and it had alot of hair and blood spotting on it so i slid the kittens out and placed a new towel under them, but then I thought it would not be a good idea to change the bedding while the mom was outside so I quickly went back to the original towel and left the kittens alone and let mom back in. About an hour later I went upstairs to check on them again to find only one of two kittens in the box. I searched around and found she was in the process of moving the kittens into the closet and away from the box. The mom cat is very used to my smell and has seen me around the kittens before and I dont know why she moved them. She rejected a kitten two days after she gave birth and it died. I am paranoid that she is not taking proper care of the kittens as she is barley a year old. Please help and let me know if your cat has ever done this!
