hi i have a cat which i was told was female when i got it but at 4 months it started to spray so i took it to a local pet shop to ask if they knew as i have a female cat already i compared them they looked different but i was not sure but the pet shop said it was a boy i also put a pic on a vet site and they said boy too but when my female has been in season he has made no atempt to go near her he runs away and he has now started acting like a female cat in season if you stroke him his bum goes up and his tail goes to one side and he is meowing like she does so it got me worried that he may really be female but he sprays and its definately a male smell so i looked again at his bits he is different to my female but there are no testicles present there are 2 very small raised bits but not what you would expect in cat of his age as he now 8 months old it is not the first time he has acted like a female he has done it a few times now so i am confussed
My tom leo was purchased thinking he was a boy, upon taking him to a vet I learn he is a girl, untill he impregnantes my female cat polly (she never goes outside and hasnt been outside in over a year when we moved into the place ^.^) so leo is indeed a boy, but fooled a well trusted vet no problem. I know this really doesnt help you decide what your cat is, but I'm just leaving the option open that on some cats its pretty gosh darn hard to figure out!
A cat had a litter under my house! They are about 8 weeks now. Three have been placed in homes and I just, I mean just (10 minutes ago) caught a solid white one. However, the momma looks fat around the belly again. Could that be possible????? I don't know much about them. I am going to trap the mom and bring her to a place to get fixed and I'm thinking of keeping the baby although he's not friendly. The others were VERY friendly. So, I'm debating it. Any helpful suggestions would be welcomed.
