This bar is very hard and I wondered at how it would possibly lather, but lather it did! I really like the smell and it's my favorite color(green)! I rubbed it over my soaking wet hair in the shower and with just a few swipes I had a great lather. It rinsed well and left my hair with a clean, but not stripped feeling. I also did an ACV rinse and used Nature's Gate Herbal Conditioner after shampooing. My hair is soft and full of volume. Because the bar is so hard, I think it will last for a long time. I use a little plastic soap saver to store mine on in the shower, so it can dry out again after each use. I will definately keep this in my regular rotation. Routine: Wash 1-2 times weekly. Deep condition with heat cap when time permits Use either Monoi, Jojoba or Shea Butter daily on ends & as pre-shampoo conditioner. I usually use a wide tooth comb but will brush with BBB now & then. Braid before bed and use oil on ends.
