BPNG has sent out a reminder that on 19 April 2007 1 and 2 toea coins will cease to be money. They urge anyone holding onto the 1 and 2 toea coins to immediately return the coins through any commercial bank branches in minimum lots of 5 toea and exchange the coins at face value.

They also wish to advise the public that the old larger sized K1 coin must be withdrawn from circulation. Any one holding on to the old K1 coins should also immediately return them through any commercial bank branches and exchange them at face value.
