I read somewhere that the minister was sold an anti-venom from over the counter for some 1000s kina, apparent he was the minister for health and took the lady to the law enforces, the lady was working for a pharmacy. I hope you can do the research on how the anti-venom are currently distributed. It's not more of researching a new cure but making distribution of the present cure efficient.

I got in late and could not vote but I can only hope that it gets the number one spot so that it gets the attention of the people that are able to turn some heads in the upper hierarchy so that those people review the current situation and increase funding towards this vital project.

I also read about the over the counter sale of the anti-venom to the minister for health.
Apart from allowing the law to deal with the woman, this should also be a time for the government try think of a way to address issues like THE ILLEGAL SALE OF STUFF and put an end to it or do anything in their power to legalise the sale. If they don't, illegal sale of stuff will still continue, and at that kind of sale price in the thousands, desperate people looking for a cure will be robbed and more lives will be at risk because they will never know if the stuff they are buying has been produced using sterilised equipment.

People do what they do because they can get away with it. Important thing to understand is health department is part of a whole, if other respective section did their job, such illegal activities would be curb or even deterance would be the control mechanism.
